Welcome to sweet and lovely Tbilisi – the capital
of Georgia and a site of the cultural fusion, where modern
continues the legacy preserved for centuries. Walk in the narrow
cobblestone streets and the broad avenues and witness the
time-lapse of the evolution of Georgian people. Listen to the
stories told by picturesque architecture and find the untold story
of the city. Visit Old Tbilisi, Narikala Fortress (6th
century) and Holy Trinity Cathedral. Ascend to
Mount Mtatsminda (“Saint Mount”), overlook the
entire city and discover the glory of 1500 years old Tbilisi.
Travel to Mtskheta – the capital of the early
Kingdom of Iberia and part of the ancient trade route. Visit
Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (9th century) and
Jvari Monastery (6th century) standing above the
city, from where you can see the Kura and Aragvi rivers merge and
take the amazing pictures. Go to Shio-Mgvime monastery (6th
century) in a narrow limestone canyon and Ananuri complex
(16th-17th centuries) – one of the most important
monuments of the late period of feudalism, which combines
religious, military and secular buildings. Even through Georgia has
lots of historical monuments, there are few examples where so many
are concentrated in so small area

Overnight in Tbilisi
Through Avlabari – one of the oldest district of Tbilisi – walk to Ortachala and Old Tbilisi. Legend says that the founder of Tbilisi, Vakhtang Gorgasali ordered that a city be built on the site of the west bank of the Mtkvari River. You will see his statue in the yard of Metekhi cathedral located on the elevated cliff overlooking the Mtkvari River and Meidani Square.
Stroll the Shardeni Street, one of the most beloved places full with traditional Georgian sweets and souvenirs, which leads you to the Rustaveli Avenue - the central avenue in Tbilisi named after the remarkable medieval Georgian poet, Shota Rustaveli
Cable car ride to Funicular, where you can taste traditional Georgian cuisine and enjoy the fascinating view over the city

After dinner you will be able to go for a stroll in Rike Park and take the cable car to Narikala Fortress (6th century)
