Racha is one of the smallest region of Georgia and its name might not sound deeply meaningful, but that’s just the first impressions. In truth, trip to Racha will be the roller-coaster of emotions for you, full of joy, experience and delighting, where you will discover completely unique beauty of Georgia. Located in highlands of the western part of the country and surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains, this charming region is the homeland of one of the well-known wine Khvanchkara. On the way, you will see Nakerala Pass, Shaori Lake and Nikortsminda (10th century) and Barakoni (17th centuries) cathedrals. Also, you will visit villages Shovi (at an altitude of 1520 meters) and Utsera, known for their medicinal carbonated water.

Day 1. Arrival

Pick up from the selected airport or any place chosen in advance
Transfer to the hotel
Tbilisi tour (depends on your arrival time)

Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 2. Tbilisi – Ambrolauri - Tsesi

Early in the morning, drive to Racha. The route crosses the Rikoti Pass and continues the way through town Tkibuli, from where you will reach Nakerala Pass and amazing Racha stretched beyond that
On the way to village Tsesi, where you will stay at night, you will see Shaori Reservoir and Nikortsminda Cathedral (10th century)
Arrival in Tsesi and transfer to the hotel
Lunch
Free time, walk around the village and visit the Barakoni Cathedral (17th century)
Dinner

Day 3. Tsesi - Utsera – Shovi - Tsesi

Breakfast
Drive to Utsera health resort, where you will be able to taste mineral water heavily saturated with iron, carbohydrate etc.
The trip continues to another highland health resort Shovi at an altitude of 1520 meters – one of the remarkable a mountain climatic and health resorts of Georgia
Lunch
Free time, stroll around Shovi
Return to Tsesi
