Tour Overview
Visit Lagodekhi National Reserve and discover the well preserved pristine natural landscapes and unique wildlife of the first nature preserve in Georgia protected from 1912. Trip around the reserve stretched along the southern slopes of the Caucasus in the north-eastern part of the country at an altitudes ranging from 590 to 3500m and explore the preserved forests, glacial lakes, waterfalls, deep valleys and a unique animal kingdom of Kakheti. Currently, the park offers five fascinating, safe and informative tourist trails: Grouse waterfall, Ninoskhevi waterfall, Machi castle, Black Rock Lake and knowledge of nature trail

Itinenary

Day 1.  Arrival
Pick up from the selected airport or any place chosen in advance
Transfer to the hotel
Tbilisi tour (depends on your arrival time)

Overnight in Tbilisi
Day 2.  Tbilisi - Lagodekhi
Early in the morning, Drive to Lagodekhi, located in Kakheti, near the border crossing with Azerbaijan
Excursion to Machi Castle (9th century), which was the summer residence of the royal family of Kakheti. Currently, there are only left the remnant ruins of walls, defense towers, church, water reservoir of the castle
Lunch at the riverbank
Take the knowledge of nature trail, walk in the thick forest of the unique tree species and take marvelous pictures.
Free time
Dinner

Overnight in Lagodekhi, in tents or at the guesthouse
Day 3. Lagodekhi - Meteo
Early in the morning, trek or horse ride (depends on your choice) to Black Rocks (also known as King Tamar Lake.), located on the Georgia-Dagestan borderline (Part of the lake is in Dagestan) at an altitude of 2800 meters, where you will be able to enjoy the magnificent views of the scenic landscapes opened from there. The trip will continue for 6 hours.
Ascend to Meteo, where is located the guesthouse
Lunch
Free time, walk in the wild nature. If you are lucky, you will be able to see non-predator animals
Dinner

Overnight in Meteo
Day 4. Meteo - Lagodekhi
After breakfast, walk to the lakes, which are known for their scenic landscapes
3 hours horse ride to Ninoskhevi waterfall, where you will have the Lunch. Return to Lagodekhi

Overnight in Lagodekhi
Day 5.  Lagodekhi -Signagi -  Tbilisi
Visit Sighnaghi – “City of Love” – which is also the most modern city in the region. Stroll around the narrow paved streets straight out of Spanish or Italian cities and enjoy the beauty of the fascinating buildings infused with traditional Georgian Architecture.
Excursion to Bodbe Monastery (4th century), where is located the tomb of Saint Nino, the Enlightener of Georgia - a woman who preached Christianity in the country.
Lunch
Drive back to Tbilisi

Overnight in Tbilisi or transfer to the airport

If you cancel at least 7 days before the scheduled departure, the cancellation fee is not charged
If you cancel within 7 days before the scheduled departure, a 100 percent cancellation fee (twenty percent (20%) of the total price) is charged.
