Travel around and the UNESCO world heritage sites of Georgia and explore the rich and astonishing Heritage of the Georgian people. Visit the capital of the historical kingdom of Iberia - Mtskheta. Take a tour to the one of the oldest monasteries and the fine examples of the medieval Georgian religious architecture – Svetitskhoveli (11th century) and Jvari (6th century). Explore ancient city Kutaisi and visit Gelati Monastery Complex (12th century). Trip to Svaneti - the highest inhabited area in the Caucasus, and Ushguli – the village located at an altitude of 2,100 meters (6,900 ft) underneath the Mount Shkhara (5201m / 17,059 feet) and for years, the highest inhabited settlement in Europe.

Day 1. - Arrival

Pick up from the selected airport or any place chosen in advance

Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 2. Tbilisi -Mtskheta-Tbilisi

After breakfast, drive to the capital of the historical kingdom of Iberia – Mtskheta. Visit Svetitskhoveli and Jvari Monasteries and walk around the narrow and charming streets of the city

Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 3. Tbilisi-Kutaisi

Early in the morning, drive to Kutaisi – the capital of Imereti. You will be able to stroll the charming streets of the city, visit White Bridge and Bagrati Cathedral (10th – 11th centuries)

Excursion to Gelati Monastery Complex (12th century) which was built by King David the Builder and dates back to the early period of the Georgian Golder Age. Gelati Monastery was one of the most important cultural centres in ancient Georgia

Overnight in Kutaisi

Day 4. Kutaisi - Mestia

Trip to Svaneti - the highest inhabited area in the Caucasus as it’s surrounded by 3,000–5,000 meter peaks – and specifically Mestia, the capital of Svaneti. The province is known for its traditional towers and magnificent landscape.
Arrival in Mestia and transfer to the hotel

Tour around Mestia A walk through the city, we will climb the mountain Hatsvali from where an incredibly beautiful view of the Caucasus Mountains

Day 5. Mestia - Ushguli - Mestia

From Mestia you will drive to village Ushguli located at an altitude of 2,100 meters (6,900 ft) underneath the Mount Shkhara (5201m / 17,059 feet). Before the 2014 it was the highest inhabited settlement in Europe. (It’s worth noticing that in 2014 another Georgian village Bochorma (2345m) took the title). You will be able to explore Svaneti culture, cuisine and enjoy the amazing views of the Caucasus Mountains

Day 6. Mestia - Zugdidi – Tbilisi

Departure to Tbilisi. On the way, you will stop in Zugdidi – the capital of Samegrelo, and visit Dadiani Palace – the residence of Samegrelo queen Ekaterine Chavchavadze-Dadiani (Daughter of Prince Alexander Chavchavadze) and Prince Niko Dadiani. The complex includes palaces, court church, and the botanic garden and houses such crucial exhibits as the death mask of Napoleon Bonaparte. You will also see Enguri Dam - Currently the world's second highest concrete arch dam

Return to Tbilisi
